Wedding Blessings, Baptisms, Funerals

If you are thinking of having your marriage blessed, or renewing your vows, or being baptized/christened in Fuerteventura, this can be arranged for you. We are also here for you when there is a loss in your family.

Non-residents cannot be married here in Fuerteventura, but you can have your marriage blessed and this can be almost identical to a wedding service. You will first need to be legally married in the UK or another country. We also do services of Renewal of Vows for special times of celebration.

Thank you so very much for such a perfect ceremony. Our whole day was amazing and everyone said how beautiful the service was: it really was the best day ever!

The Church of Nuestra Senora del Carmen in Corralejo is a lovely modern building set in a delightful square which is ideal for photographs. It is in the heart of old Corralejo near the ferry port and is a lovely venue for a wedding blessing. We are also able to use some of the other church buildings on the island with permission of the local priest.
We are also able to give details of local photographers, who can record your day, and our thanks to Mark Shilston for the use of some of his photographs in this page.

From the first meeting, during the planning stages and until the day itself, we were made to feel at ease throughout. Thank you for your contribution to our wonderful memories that will last us a lifetime.

Alternatively if you would prefer a more informal setting in a hotel or restaurant, this too can be arranged. We are asked for Wedding Blessings on a beach, but these require authorisation from several Spanish authorities, that can take many months to obtain and can be expensive. Without all the authorisations, there are very heavy penalties!

Baptism/Christening enquiries for both adults and children are most welcome although children will only be baptized/christened if their families are resident here or regular visitors/members.

If you have experienced the loss of a loved one then a funeral or memorial service can be arranged either in church followed by the crematorium or simply in one of the crematorium chapels on the island.
