Who we are

We are a Church of England (Anglican) Chaplaincy serving the island of Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands. We are part of the Diocese in Europe.

Our first ever resident chaplain, Bob Horrocks retired in October 2022 and we have been blessed by the offers of service by some dear friends as the recruitment process continues.

Brian Evans-Smith, a recently retired priest from the Isle of Man, who has been associated with the Chapliancy for many years, has returned to us with his wife, Mary, for May and June 2023.

Stephen and Elsie Blair-Chappell from St. Martin in the Bull Ring (Birmingham Parish Church) came for two weeks in February/March 2023. Stephen & Elsie return in August 2023 for a further two weeks.

Brian Evans-Smith, a recently retired priest from the Isle of Man, who has been associated with the Chapliancy for many years, was with us for three months from December 2022, as our recruitment process faces the challenges. Brian & Mary will return in May 2023.

We have a Chaplaincy Council which meets at various times of the year.

We have a licensed Lay Reader, Ruth Brough and Lynne Angus, Graham Maclean, Penny Melville and Yvonne Thompson are Congregational Worship Leaders
